Another appeal of the temple are definitely the seven terraces with ripple handrails - indicating the seven mountains surrounding Bracket Meru - lead in the stupa, and all the way along are markets in which legendary enemies such as Nats, orgres and Nagas (mythical gigantic snakes) stand guard.
The earthquake in 1838 desperately damaged this pagoda but King Mindon tried all his best to bring back it in 1874.
To achieve the peak of the structure you can certainly ascend the stairway. Being here you will have chance to adore the incredibly spectacular views of the Ayeyarwady Water as well as the local Mingun Pagoda.

A large gate providing gain access to the grounds within the temple complex makes it possible for local Buddhists as well as overseas tourists to come to the Hsinbyume Pagoda to pay their respect, respect, make offerings, and light incense.
